About me!
Hello! I am Tamsin and I will be your Kindermusik Educator!
I am a British native living in Madrid since 2003 with my Spanish husband. We have been blessed with three beautiful children: Marcos (12 years old), Alicia (8) and Daniel (6) who were all born in Madrid. I also speak French as I grew up in France and went to school there.
Both my parents were British and my love of music comes from my darling mother (of Sri Lankan origin) who assures me that I was already singing to perfect pitch when only a toddler. My beloved grandmother passed this love of music on to her, and she has been a music teacher, musician and performer all her life (and still played at the age of 95!). I love singing and playing the piano, which I started learning at the age of 5 and I have also studied the violin for several years, which I played in my school orchestra. I collect instruments from the places my husband and I have travelled to over the years and have a variety of African bongos, drums, maracas and shakers.

After graduating in European Business Administration, I spent several months in the Ivory Coast (West Africa) living and teaching as a volunteer in “La Case Des Enfants”, a Home for street children. The children’s body rhythm and African music still beat in my heart.

Since then, I worked for many years in the NGO, Marketing and Tourism sectors but after having children of my own wanted to combine my love of music with teaching English to children, and that's why I chose Kindermusik.
I am so happy to offer Kindermusik and Jolly Music in Madrid (Aravaca - Pozuelo area) and look forward to spreading my love of music on to babies, toddlers, young children and their families. You are warmly welcome, whatever nationality you are and whatever background you come from - to enjoy music & movement in English!
